Course Details

This innovative and complex piece of legislation has given rise to certain difficulties by overhauling many long entrenched common law and equitable rules relating to personal property securities.  We have now had several Court decisions to enlighten our interpretation of some of the PPSA’s significant provisions.   In addition, an intense statutory review has provided extensive recommendations on how to simplify the legislation and the fully electronic register established under the PPSA.   This paper will address some of these important developments.
