Paula is a Graduate of the University of Canterbury, New Zealand and the NSW College of Law. She is an Accredited Specialist Family Law (NSW), and recognised by her peers as a Preeminent Family and Divorce Lawyer (WA) in the 2016 and 2017 Doyle's Guide Rankings.

Paula is a Graduate of the University of Canterbury, New Zealand and the NSW College of Law. She is an Accredited Specialist Family Law (NSW), and recognised by her peers as a Preeminent Family and Divorce Lawyer (WA) in the 2016 and 2017 Doyle's Guide Rankings.

She is a founding Director of Kim Wilson & Co Family Lawyers (established 9 March 1998), which is ranked as one of two First Tier Family and Divorce Law Firms (WA) in Doyle's Guide in 2016 and 2017. Paula's practice involves more complex property and parenting matters.

In 2012 Paula completed her post graduate degree, the Master of Applied Law (Family Law) through the New South Wales College of Law which included a thesis entitled "The Implications in the Australian family law jurisdiction of increased family wealth against the background of an aging population, and the prevalence of the use of the discretionary family trust as the most popular structure for holding family wealth". The thesis was published by Ex Curia in 2017.

Paula is an adjunct lecturer for the NSW College of Law teaching part of the LLM offered in Western Australia including FLP2 (Property, Maintenance and Child Support), FLP12, (Advanced Issues in Property, Maintenance and Child Support) and FLP3 (Conducting Family Law matters).

Paula joined the Law Society of Western Australia’s Mentoring program in 2015, and the Women in Law Mentoring Scheme run by the Law Student Society at the University of Western Australia. She was also elected to the Law Society Council November 2016 for a two year term and serves on several Law Society Committees including the Accreditation Committee, the Law Access Board and the Law Society Professional Indemnity Insurance Management Committee.

Paula presents regularly on a range of family law topics for Perth Accountancy firms, the Law Society, Legalwise, Law Central, the Tax Institute and College of Law.
