Linda Widdup has many years of experience as a practitioner of commercial law and banking and finance law. She is currently a lecturer of law at the new Curtin Law School as well as a senior consultant with Jackson McDonald.

Linda Widdup is a Senior Consultant in the banking and finance team at Jackson McDonald. Linda is admitted in and has extensive PPSA experience in all three PPSA jurisdictions: Canada, New Zealand and Australia. Linda developed her PPSA expertise in her native Canada where her practice involved delivering expert PPSA opinions to assist other law firms. She also made regular court appearances to provide expertise on PPSA issues.
Linda was recognised by Lexpert Canada as one of Canada’s Top 40 Lawyers Under 40 and one of Canada’s Corporate Lawyers to Watch. Linda also practiced for several years in the banking and finance team of a leading law firm in New Zealand where she assisted the firm and its commercial clients on all manner of issues arising in the transition to the PPSA. Linda has recently published the third edition of LexisNexis New Zealand practitioners’ text The Personal Property Securities Act: a conceptual approach.
